Nursery Rooms & Facilities Available

Our baby Room is designed to accommodate 15 children aged up to 2 years.

The room is divided into 2 separate play areas:

An area for babies who are not yet walking independently which provides activity Gyms, soft toys, Treasure Basket, books, music and other equipment to stimulate and promote development.

The second area provides stimulating activities for Babies who are mobile and independent. This area has books, music, soft toys, a small house area, table top toys and jig saws. There is a messy area within the Baby Room where the children can paint, enjoy water play, glue and play with other tactile resources. This area is also used at meal times. There is a separate sleep room and Nappy changing area within the Baby Room.

Staff follow the Pre-Birth to three curriculum to plan activities ensuring that all children within the Baby room are encouraged to develop and explore while feeling safe and secure. We follow your routine at home while your child is attending Nursery to maintain continuity of their care.

Our Toddler Room is designed to accommodate 15 children aged 2-3 years.

This room allows scope for exploration of activities on offer and children’s choices.

We provide Sand, Water, Painting, Gluing, play dough , baking and other tactile resources. There are table top toys, jig saws and a house corner where children can use their imagination.

There is a toilet and Nappy change area within the room. This allows children to become independent when using the toilet. We will help with potty training when you feel your child has reached that stage of their development.

Staff follow the Pre-Birth to three curriculum to plan activities ensuring that all children within the Toddler Room are encouraged to learn and develop while feeling safe and secure. There is a separate sleep room for children who may still require a nap during the day.

Our pre-school room is designed to accommodate 16 children aged 3-5 years.

Staff follow the Curriculum for Excellence in this room to promote independence and build confidence and self-esteem. Children are comfortable with familiar adults who will listen to their interests and be on hand to assist when requested.

The children learn new skills each day and have access to computer, painting, gluing and junk modelling. Sand and water play are always on offer as well as drawing cutting and creating. Children are encouraged to take part in Baking activities and help to prepare healthy food and snacks.

We have a programme which helps develop learning skills such as letter, number, colour and shape recognition. Children leave our pre-school room prepared and ready for school.

The nursery has a physical activity room which all rooms are able to access on a daily basis to enjoy playing in the Ball pool, building with the large soft shapes, music and movement classes, dancing, musical instruments and games.
